Our Bukowski short stays alive in 2012. Cinequest will screen our film in March. And we got a spot on 4-star review from Mark Bell of Film Threat: A damn fine little film that makes you feel like you need a thorough physical and spiritual cleansing immediately after watching. Read the whole review here.
New Verb’s first music video production. Made for my friends in the band Early Winters. I’ve known Carina for years and made Backseat with her a while back. But this was a chance to do something different. I love this song, and since I’m much more into narrative than performance music vids, I thought it would be fun play with the lyrics and go off on some bizarre Foreign/70s/Lynchian/Spy/Melodrama/WTF tangent. And then Dray and Dave G got involved and well…then it really got weird. And so awesome, if I do say so. Love those guys. Love this band. Love Barak Hardley (my featured Eastside muse). Hope you love the vid.
The first music video I ever made. It happened to be for Yo-Yo Ma. 2004. Funded by a grant from Sony Classical Music while I was a student at USC. Music by Ennio Morricone. I was obsessed with Anglerfish. Still am kinda.
We are currently in post on what began as an improv short sketch, but is now (damn the torpedos) on its way to being a pilot. It’s funny as hell. Here’s a little teaser we made shortly after we shot it (in one day, on a budget of $200) to commemorate 11-11-11.
good on them. the fest takes place oct 21-24 at the arclight cinemas. will be nice to get the cast and friends together to screen our film at LA’s best theater. might be the first time the public gets an eyeful of phone-fucking.
